“Dimebag” Darrell Abbott dead at 38 R.I.P. with love from The Lo-Fi Café

We heard early this morning that Dimebag Darrell was gunned down last night at a club in Ohio and it breaks our hearts in two. Darrell, you came to SLC again with Damageplan and rocked everyone inside my club. You hung out with pleasure along with Mike Snider and my staff and wowed everyone around you with your “not so rockstar” attitude. We laughed, we drank, we smoked, and best of all, we watched you rock hard!

Who would have known that when you left our place that we would all be here today with tears welling up in our eyes at the news of our loss, the worlds loss, of such a great musician and kick ass legend is now gone in such a violent manner. I may have shook your hand a little bit longer when I looked you in the eyes and thanked you from the bottom of Salt Lake Cities heart for keeping yourselves so close to us had I known we were never going to see you alive again.

The Lo-Fi Café would like to extend our love and support to Darrell’s family and loved ones and the rest of Damegeplan in their time of mourning and loss. We also want to extend our love to the families of those who lost their loved one for defending Darrell and his fans the night of the show at The Alrosa Villa Nightclub in Columbus, Ohio. Dimebag Darrell we salute you, go rock on with Joey, Johnny, Strummer, Kurt, Jim, Janis, Lennon and send them our love as well.
